The established spice business within Hua Lok Group: discover Outram Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh spice blends and discuss product suitability for your kitchen or retail business.

Start with the dish you prepare every day

Busy kitchens need recipes the team can repeat, quantities that match orders and ingredients that get used. Hua Lok brings the heritage of Outram Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh to that conversation through its packaged spice blend.

A prepared blend can simplify how spices are sourced and measured. Whether it reduces waste or cost in your kitchen depends on your recipe, pack usage, order volume and the ingredients you add. Those are the details to compare before changing your preparation.

Central kitchens: repeatable batches across teams

If you prepare for several outlets, start with batch yield and a written recipe. Confirm spice quantity, cooked output and portions served, then compare actual usage with the production plan. A consistent blend is one part of this process; demand planning and portion control remain essential.

Small kitchens: quantities that fit daily demand

For a restaurant, stall or compact kitchen, the best buying quantity is the quantity you can use under the product's storage instructions. Compare expected portions with pack yield and the number of days an opened pack will be used. Buying more only helps if the usable cost per serving improves.

Available today: Outram Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh spices

Our current flagship is the Outram Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh spice blend. It has a stated 2.5-year shelf life for sealed packs. Follow the label and confirm suitability, current pack sizes, quantities, pricing and ordering terms with our team. The existing product is portioned for a home pot; commercial use needs a recipe and yield check.

In development: more Singapore flavours

Chicken rice paste, laksa concentrate, chilli crab sauce, satay marinade and kaya are in our development pipeline. They are not currently offered for order on this site. Share your kitchen requirements if you would like to discuss future product fit or receive a development update.

How to evaluate a kitchen trial

  1. Choose one dish. Record the current recipe, purchases, portions sold and unused ingredients.
  2. Check product fit. Confirm flavour, yield, allergens, pack format and storage requirements before agreeing any trial.
  3. Compare equivalent periods. Track ingredient cost, preparation time and avoidable waste per portion. Include the blend cost and packaging.
  4. Decide from the results. A useful trial keeps customer acceptance while improving the economics of that dish.

Trial scope, availability and terms must be agreed with Hua Lok. We do not promise a fixed saving or offer an automated waste-tracking platform.

Looking for waste-minimisation consultations?

Hua Lok is developing this as a separate business unit led by director Ivee. Explore the waste-minimisation unit. Its consultation enquiries are separate from spice purchasing.

Questions from kitchen operators

Can you supply my central kitchen?

Send your dish, batch size, expected usage and delivery needs. Our team will confirm whether the current product and supply arrangements suit your operation.

Do spice blends eliminate food waste?

No. They may simplify spice preparation, but overproduction, storage losses and uneaten meals need separate action. Measure the specific ingredients and costs affected by a change.

Are the pastes and sauces ready to buy?

They remain in development. Enquire about progress; availability and specifications are not confirmed.
